Happy Anniversary

This cake was for family members who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary - the cake layers were "about" them :) The top layer had missionary tags, a picture of the Logan temple and "Happy Anniversary" and was an 8" round Lemon Cake/Lemon Curd filling, the second layer was piped icing to look like it was crocheted and showed a few of her hobbies - bowling, gardening & the crochetting and it was a 10" white cake with raspberry cream filling, the third layer was half "hunting" themed and half "construction" themed, and was a 12" round Chocolate cake with caramel swiss meringue filling. Congrats Jerry & Karen!

Arrrr Matey!

This is one of the cutest "boy" cakes I have made! It turned out sooooooo cute! The top layer was a 6" Chocolate/Oreo and 8" white/Chocolate Chip Cookie filling. Very yummy and very fun! Happy B-day Huddy!

Tiffany Blue & Zebra!

This was an 8" square cake, Tiffany blue and black zebra stripes with a "13" on top and a few flower buttons on the bottom. It was White Cake with Raspberry Cream filling. I'm told it was delicious!

Garland Fair Goodies

These were just a few of the yummy cake pops I made for sale at the Garland Craft fair a few weeks ago - these are the Chocolate Raspberry & Oreo Cake pops, I also had Pumpkin, Lemon, Candy Cane, and Snickers - as well as chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies and caramel apples! Thanks to everyone :)

Hello Kitty

These were sooo fun! Little Hello Kitty Cake Pops and Cupcakes - both white cake with vanilla frosting...

Pale Yellow and Gray

I just loved loved loved this cake. So simple but so pretty. It was a 6" round Lemon Cake with Lemon Buttercream, mini cupcakes were also the same lemon combo. The little frilly flowers made this cake elegant.

Purple and Pearls

I feel so bad because this cake was so beautiful in person - these "phone pics" just don't do justice to these gorgeous cakes. They also added flowers to the cake after I had set it, but I didn't get a pic of that either. Sigh. But, it turned out lovely and very tasty I was told. The whole cake is a 6", 10", 14" squares, the top two tiers are real, the 6" White Velvet cake with Raspberry Cream filling and the 10" was a White Velvet with Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese filling. Very yummy. The top and bottom teirs had the quilt pattern, adorned with edible pearls and the middle layer was just plain white fondant.

Sports Cake

This cake was for a young boy who loves soccer and football! I had to incorporate both and I think it looks great. It is White Velvet cake with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Filling (eggless of course, and soooo delicious!). Happy Birthday!

My BFF

The giant slice of cake was for my best friend's birthday, complete with a "scoop of ice cream" as well... it was White Velvet cake with Raspberry Cream filling. She had 4 pieces :)

Bridal Shower

Bright colors were the theme here... they didn't come across as bright in the photo, but sure tasted delicious! The "blue" cupcakes were lemon/lemon cream buttercream with white chocolate double hearts and the "pink" were chocolate/raspberry cream with a small lime green circle "D" in the middle. The cake pop was a little two-tiered wedding cake. The pic didn't turn out too great, they were a lot cuter in person - and yummy in the tummy! They were Birthday Cake flavor.

Boy Baby Shower

These cupcakes were darling! Cookies N' Cream Cake pops and cupcakes, the Baby Boy was piped with chocolate and the button was fondant. So yummy.

Zebra Sweet Sixteen

This 6" Vanilla/Cinnamon Cream Cheese zebra cake was for a darling girl's Sweet 16 party.

Airplane Cakes & Cake Pops

These were so fun to do - the small cake was a 3" round buttercream-covered cake with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake Pops too. The big cake was a 6 and 8" round topped with an airplane made of fondant. So fun!

Super Hero Birthday Party

Batman and Spiderman - oh BoY! This cake and the cake pops were for my best friend's little boy who was turing 4. There were Spiderman chocolate/peanut butter cake pops, POW! chocolate/peanut butter cake pops (no pictured) and the two-tier cake that was, might I add, DELICIOUS! The top layer was a 6" round Pumpkin/Nutmeg Cream Cheese cake and the bottom was a Chocolate Fudge/Creamy Caramel 8" round. I had pieces of both :) And I had to take a pic of how cute it looked cut.

Fair Cake

I made this cake for our local County Fair this past week. . . I wanted to try a few new techniques - from the damask flower, the hand-painted scroll work on the second tier, and the "ruffle" fondant ribbons on the bottom - it was so much fun. The layers are 8, 10, 12" squares.

Simple and Cute

I did this simple, yet pretty cake for a sweet young lady who's family lives near by. It was a 3-layered, 8" round Vanilla Cake with Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream. I had to make some extra frosting for myself, it's soooo yummy! Very silky smooth and sweet. Congrats Brittany!

Three-tiered off-set cake...

This bride was great - she knew exactly what she wanted and it turned out gorgeous! The damask pattern and T monogram were my favorites! We used the 16" silver stand for the 14", 10" offset and 6" square cakes. 6" chocolate/raspberry, 10" chocolate/cocnut and 14" vanilla/cherry. Congrats!

Baby Blessing - in Zebra!

What a darling way to celebrate a baby blessing - a yummy zebra-striped cake and bright colored chocolate cupcakes to go along... very fun!

Zebra and Hot Pink!

I was so excited when this bride-to-be told me she wanted a zebra striped cake, and of course pink is my favorite color so that was an added bonus! She had the "cupcake cake" with a 6" square topper that was white cake filled with raspberry cream and frosted with white chocolate buttercream, then covered in zebra fondant and a pink ribbon. The cupcakes were: White cake filled with raspberry cream, topped with white chocolate buttercream and a black scroll; chocolate cake topped with white chocolate buttercream and a pink fondant flower; lemon cake topped with pink lemon cream frosting. The decor was so fun, so glad I got to be a small part of this wedding!

Elegant Pearls

This cake was truly a joy to make. The top layer was a (fake) 8" x 6" round, edged with edible fondant pearls and had hand-painted scroll work. The bottom layer was - my first attempt - at a vertivle layer cake. When it was cut, the layers showed three verticle layers of pink, white and brown, instead of traditional horizontal cake layers. I hope I can get a picture from the photographer of the cutting! It was a 10" round, covered in light pink fondant and had a damask pattern, also edged with the gold pearls. I love this vintage-inspired cake!

Wilton Final Class - June

Red and White wedding

This beautiful cake - was really ALL cake! Most often, brides are not serving their cakes, so one or more layers is fake, but this one was all real! Top two layers - a 6" round and an 8" square - were vanilla/vanilla, and the bottom was a 12" round red velvet cake with cream cheese filling. It turned out so lovely...

Sweet Ruffles

This cake was soooo fun!!! I made this vanilla/vanilla swiss meringue cake for a church function and it was D-licious!! It was a new recipe and a new technique I had been dying to try since I saw it on sweetapolita's blog. (She is my new fave, by the way, check her blog out! www.sweetapolita.com/blog )

Happy Birthday Grandpa John!

This cake was for my grandpa's 80th birthday this past weekend, he was a teacher and football coach and loves football... so I thought a "book cake (he taught Government)" - White Raspberry cake with White Chocolate buttercream, "football field" was a 3 layer lemon cake with lemon cream cheese buttercream and raspberry fillings, and the football (which everyone said was the best!) was a moist chocolate cake with carmel swiss meringue buttercream filling. The filling was SOooooo good. I ate a piece of each cake, which most of us did - and they were all good but the White Raspberry was my favorite :)
Happy 80th!

Baby Shower

I LOVED making these cute chocolate carriages as toppers for these cupcakes!
They were all chocolate/cream cheese cupcakes. Cute AND yummy!

Church activity

These fun cupcakes were for a young men/young women activity a few nights ago... I am told the Pink Lemonade ones were delish!
Chocoloate/Chocolate, White/Vanilla and Pink Lemonade/Lemon Buttercream.
